Turkmenistan and Georgia Discuss Prospects for Increasing Mutual Trade Volumes.

Yesterday, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Tbilisi, D. Seyitmammedov, met with Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, T. Ioseliani, to discuss current issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The meeting was also attended by the General Director of JSC Georgian Railway, L. Abashidze, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties reviewed prospects for increasing mutual trade volumes, attracting investments, and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Noting the positive dynamics of Turkmen-Georgian relations and the significant potential for mutually beneficial partnership between the business communities of the two countries, the sides paid special attention to creating favorable conditions for the implementation of joint initiatives and strengthening direct contacts between relevant government bodies and business representatives.
The importance of further developing the contractual and legal framework of bilateral cooperation was also emphasized.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing a constructive dialogue aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and advancing promising joint projects.
