Turkmenistan and the United States held negotiations on deepening partnership in various fields

A meeting took place in Ashgabat between Turkmenistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and U.S. Ambassador Elizabeth Rood, dedicated to the development of bilateral relations. This information was provided by the press service of Turkmenistan's foreign policy department.
According to published reports, the participants conducted a detailed discussion of current partnership directions between the two countries in political, diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The diplomats noted the productivity of existing formats of bilateral cooperation, including annual political consultations and meetings within the framework of the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council.
Particular attention was paid to the successful long-term operations of American corporations in the Turkmen market and the implementation of joint commercial projects in the energy sector, agricultural industry, and transportation sphere. Companies such as John Deere, General Electric, and Boeing were mentioned as examples.
During the conversation, prospects for establishing new partnership directions with a focus on educational, scientific, and cultural spheres were considered. The Turkmen delegation proposed creating a mechanism for cultural dialogue between the two countries.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on developing cooperation in the field of innovative technologies and the banking and financial sector.
