Official news
The Turkmen-Chinese Exhibition and Forum concluded with outstanding business activity indicators, demonstrating the sustained and growing interest of both sides in strengthening economic ties. The event became one of the most representative platforms for bilateral engagement in recent years. As a result of the forum, 178 meetings in B2G (business-to-government) format were held, reflecting the high level of involvement of Turkmenistan's government institutions in dialogue with the Chinese business community. In parallel, more than 55 B2B negotiations took place between private sector representatives of the two countries, aimed at establishing direct commercial partnerships."The scale of these negotiations reflects genuine strategic interest — not merely ceremonial, but practical, aimed at delivering concrete projects." More than 200 Chinese companies — both private and state-owned — representing key sectors including energy, infrastructure, agriculture, digital technologies, and manufacturing, participated in the forum. On the Turkmen side, over 60 official delegates took part, representing relevant ministries, state enterprises, and leading national companies. The culmination of the forum was the signing of 5 memoranda of understanding, formalising agreements in the areas of investment, technology transfer, and the development of joint production capacities. These documents lay the legal and institutional foundation for moving negotiations into the stage of practical implementation. The forum organisers and representatives of both delegations expressed satisfaction with the results of the event, emphasising its significance for the long-term development of Turkmen-Chinese economic partnership. According to available information, a number of the agreements reached will be further elaborated at the working group level in the coming months.
